Another activity being tried at the centre is Coracle Building.
The coracle is a small, lightweight boat of the sort traditionally used in Wales. The word "coracle" comes from the Welsh cwrwgl, cognate with Irish and Scottish Gaelic currach, and is recorded in English as early as the sixteenth century.
Since trying out the activity, we've found it fun and very different to some of the more common water activites that we offer. Launching, recovery and paddling techniques are all proving to be fresh challenges.
